I jinxed it. I said his sleep patterns couldn't get any worse, but they did. SPT decided to wake every hour after midnight, and woke up at 3 am. Just woke up. Done. Done sleeping for the night. My hubby, the amazing guy that he is, took SPT to "the chair" (affectionately known as the "Chair of Slumber") until 7 am when SPT finally fell asleep in time for the alarm to go off. Who am I kidding? There is no alarm anymore! That's called SPT.
What caused this mind-numbing sleep pattern? Halfway through the day, I realized SPT was drooling and chewing on his fingers constantly. One millilitre of Tylonel could have brought a little shut-eye to my life. But really, when you're this far behind on your sleep, what difference does a couple of hours make?

I hear you!! We've had some miserable nights where I've had the same thought about how long can a person function on so little sleep? But we cycle in and out of those times, recuperating a bit in between. Here's hoping you get some sleep soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog today; I'm glad you're enjoying it! And so glad to hear you've ditched the schedule to simply enjoy time with your son! Your creek day sounds wonderful. That's just what we did today, too: photos to come. :-)
